I Never Doubted You, Lord

1 min read

What is the point of doubt. I have decided to follow Jesus. Now live for him in full and powerful trust. Isn’t that what you want to be when you get to heaven? Enter his courts to be greeted as a person who trusted. I never doubted you Lord. What greater thing could God desire for your entrance. What more honor can a child show their parent than to trust them.

O my lord and God. Teach me to trust. Eliminate needless doubt.

I have decided so what help is doubt to me? (But I feel I shouldn’t ignore logic.) You do when you have already decided. Don’t live on the fence. If you are then do what you must to get off of it. If you have decided in this moment that you will follow Jesus then what can doubt do for you. Good test if you’re desperate for your children to be believers. That shows true faith yet the devil still tricks us? Insane.

Lastly doubting salvation and discerning right teaching are different. We do not want to be Mormon trusting in a lie but if we believe that God exists then nothing can logically change that. 4000 years of history will show that the existence of God can’t be proven in our human study. The devil will always keep us from true sight and God wants us to trust.

In election God holds me tightly but the question is will I struggle and see the face of my captor in heaven? Or will I see the face of my father who comfortably carried me through life.

Any Christians in history who have experienced real persecution know what it is to make the decision. No turning back.

Look to Please Your Father

David argues that guilt cannot fit in a mind set on pleasing God, that fatherhood gives a felt shadow of how the Father loves his children and accepts their efforts, and that believers should run to him like the prodigal.
